Getting started

Lernbuddy is your study buddy on the computer. It helps you with flashcards, a quiz and a chat – and instead of just telling you the answer, it helps you work it out yourself.

The four tabs

Lernbuddy has four tabs:

  • Flashcards – make cards with a question on the front and the answer on the back.
  • Quiz – practise with your cards.
  • Chat – ask your buddy questions about school.
  • Help – switch the language, download the AI model, and find privacy and imprint.

The first time you start

So you can start right away, Lernbuddy comes with two practice topics: English irregular verbs and the capitals of Europe. Open the Quiz tab and try one!

You don't need the AI for quizzing these cards. To make new cards and to chat, though, Lernbuddy has to download its AI model once. It's a very big file – best ask your parents. How it works is explained in The AI model.

Switching the language

Lernbuddy speaks English and German. In the Help tab, under Language, you can switch between "English" and "Deutsch".
